MILE – Environmental NGO was pleased to participate as a local NGO in the two days (10-11 MAY 2026) workshop on establishing a coordination platform among governorates to address climate change, organized under the supervision of the Board of Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation, in coordination with WFP and with the support of the Government of Canada.
During the workshop, MILE contributed to the discussion on the importance of using environmental data for evidence-based planning and reporting, and how AI tools can support advanced analysis, early warning, and improved climate-related decision-making.
MILE remains committed to supporting stronger coordination, data-driven environmental management, and practical climate action across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
