Real leadership is measured by service to others, and we are incredibly proud to see this in action through the Vanguard Project at Domiz Camp! Community safety and environmental health rely on local champions, and today we want to highlight two of our most dedicated Safety & Environment Ambassadors.
Since the project launched in July 2025, Mohammed Amin Rasul has transformed his training into direct action. As one of our first young ambassadors, he tirelessly educates children, youth, and families on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and environmental responsibility. By promoting practices that keep the camp safe and clean, Mohammed is helping build a more resilient community, one session at a time.
We are equally inspired by Ghalia Mohammed Sulaiman, a dedicated teacher at Payam Primary School. Ghalia believes that every child deserves the knowledge to stay safe, using interactive activities and drawings to inspire her students. Her commitment extends far beyond the classroom, she continues to volunteer through the summer, raising critical awareness about the dangers of explosive ordnance and environmental care among families in the camp.
Planting these seeds of safety would not be possible without a united effort. A massive thank you to our donor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, for their vital support, and to DCA for their continued partnership. We also want to recognize the incredible coordination between the teams at Mile Organization and Judy Organization, alongside everyone working hard in the field. Together, we are empowering communities to protect their future.
